It's a White-throated Babbler Turdoides gularis. Compare to http://orientalbirdimages.org/search.php?p=3&Bird_ID=1569&Bird_Family_ID=&pagesize=1 (photo by Peter & Michelle - excellent as always!)
It's endemic to Myanmar apparently, so surely an escape in Macau!

The date is even more incredible than the record.
Is this bird in fact traded? It's not uncommon in its restricted range, where it in fact frequents lawn-like habitats such as those in the grounds of the Bagan Hotel.
Any more photos of next month's birds ;-?
Mike Turnbull.

It has occurred in Macau so it must be traded! I cannot believe that a Turdoides babbler flew from Burma to Macau. The occurence of such an inlikely species in apprarently good condition is the reason why I am very cautious about ascribing wild origin to commonly traded birds from a similar geographic region - such as Blue-throated Flycatcher, see my post on that species in TPK earlier today.
