Fairy Pitta in accident

A Fairy Pitta accidentally flew to my friend's home. Trying hard to wide-open all windows (with lights turned off to reduce disturbance) yet it's still reluctant to leave. Hope tmr it can recognise the white clouds and blue sky then go back to forest.

Glad that it's just flew away eventually

No harm and hunger.

This is amazing. Great photo. From the EXIF data, it was early on Friday morning.

Where was it?

Same question as Geoff.  And, any special decorations at your friend's home? 3551em013445

BTW, it doesn't look like a captive bird, does it? 3551a50445

This species has been found in the same situation before.

The fourth record of this species is also an individual found stunned after flying into a window at Shek Kong on 19 April 1993. Photo of the bird is also shown in the HKBR 1993.

The bird doesnt seem to be tamed by man before because it was so alert of  human's movement and did not eat food offered. My friend lives in ho man tin top floor (19th) where there is small patch of woodland nearby. Nothing special about the house decor, the bird attempted to bounce on the window. By the time my friend notified me how to get rid of this beauty, it was the 2nd day of being 'trapped'. Still i havent seen nor tick this bird.
