digiscoping with the Sony NEX-5
like the new Sony NEX-5 as a general walk-around camera, and with the appropriate adapter can be a good digiscoping camera.
It has a fast 7 fps burst mode, flip up screen, good noise handling and a quality, 14 meg sensor. I shooting it with Nikon lenses yesterday at Nam Sang Wai and some of the photos are below.

Excellent images. A bit of worry about the ease of focusing as it will be done manually in your case. Focusing will be even more difficult in the daylight environment.
