Egretry count - draft result
In 2011, about 800 nests of five egrets and herons (Great, Little and Cattle Egrets, Night Heron and Chinese Pond Heron) were found. When compared with the data in 2010, there is a 10% increase. However, a further decline in the nesting population of NH at A Chau was noted. It is now just 10% of the population in 2000. A full report will be prepared later.
