id - Sichuan birds (Jiu Zai Guo)
Hi,
New resolution to clean my old record shots... these were taken in March 2008 inside Jiu Zai Guo - Sichuan).
I can't be sure of the id of the treecreepers (even if I think the third one is probably a bar-tailed treecreeper) and of one bird (a grey-winged blackbird???).
If anyone could help, even partially on the ids, that would be great. Apologies in advance on the photo quality, as I only had a 200mm + 2x...
Thanks and happy new year to all

1 and 2 seem to be Eurasian Treecreeper
3 is Bar-tailed Treecreeper
4 seems to be Chinese Blackbird

Jiu Zhai Gou birds
Not sure about the last one, a corvid came to mind, but I agree that 3 is Bar-tailed Treecreeper.
As for 1 & 2; for the sake of your records you might note that "Eurasian Treecreeper" C.familiaris has been split and "Hodgson's Treecreeper" C.hodgsoni (0844.3) is often reported from JZG in the annual China Bird Reports, rather than Eurasian.
How to tell the difference between familiaris and hodgsoni ?
Mmmmm.... too hard for me.

Actually hodgsoni should be the right name for Sichuan, from what I can see. I am not sure about the last bird. From my old memories, it looked a bit large for a blackbird, but definitely not a large corvid.
