Bird recording equipment
What is the conventional method of recording bird calls?
Is there any modern lightweight equipment for this? I'm wary of carrying really heavy items for birdwatching

There is a great Yahoo Group called 'naturerecordists'. I suggest you join that and search the previous postings. If you use the search function I know you'd find lots of useful information.
