Interesting and worrying article, Andrew, but I think calling them "pollution [u]carriers[/u]" rather than "pollution [u]magnets[/u]" (as the article itself does) could be a little dangerous, suggesting they spread the pollution, somehow, and even leading to confusion with the issue of disease propagation.

Fair point Mike. I had picked the word carrier from the statement "China's birds of prey are carrying an unexpected cargo" but I'll amend the caption.
