I think this is a Citrine Wagtail.

thanks for the prompt reply ..
that was what i thought to start of with but when i got home to check the reference books, the citrine but the yellow on the head should be a C shape, right?
may i have a 2nd opinion on this one please?

You're right about the C-shaped markings, however, in my knowledge this is an adult, which in winter plumage can show a yellow head. So yes, Citrine!
