Zhanghe, Liaoning 遼寧莊河 3-2013

Zhanghe(莊河) is a small coastal city between Dandong(丹東) & Dalian(大連). From Zhanghe, we took a ferry to 大王家岛 which is an island to the south of Zhanghe; the ferry trip took about 90 mins. When the wind is too strong, the ferry operator may suspend the service; we had to stay on the island for one more day because of the wind ! For birding watching on sea, we hired a fish boat for 1/2 day. On the island, we just did it on foot.

The gull is a Vega Gull, not a Black-tailed.
