Thanks Mike. The bird was seen outside Tacheng (near Toli). It was one of our targets of this trip & we were lucky to spot it in the vast desert initially from the coach.

White-headed Duck 白頭硬尾鴨
This year we didn't find any White-headed Duck in the lake outside Wulumuqi, maybe it was a bit early. Yet we were able to see 2 pairs of the ducks in another spot later in the afternoon, even though they were quite far away.
