without any disrespect, .. you should consider buying a reference guide .. The Birds of Hong Kong and South China, Viney, Phillipps and Lam is a very good start .. all the wagtails are on page 158/159 ..

I agree with Grey-Wagtail .. where I understand that it maybe difficult with different plumages, juvenile, 1st winter, male, female, breeding etc can be confusing and not always covered in all books, it good to take a guess ..
BTW .. i was also told to buy some reference books when i first joined this forum too .. haha
