Digiscoping with Olymplus EM-1 and 25mm f1.8

Tried it out today at Shing Mun Valley Park.

The M.zuiko 25mm f1.8 lens is an internal focus lens. It  has nothing move externally. I just join the DCA to the 46mm thread of the lens, then use it, very simple. The automatic focus is very fast.

I am considering a SW ATX spotting scope. It seems that you are using one of them.
Could you please tell me if the TLS APO adaptor could use a telephoto set up like the one you use in this post?
Thank you very much!

B Gor,

My monoscope is the old model ATS 80 HD. The one that you mentioned are the new model ATX 85 and ATX95. The TLS-apo adaptor is a tailor-made objective for this new scope.  I have no experience of using it.
TLS-apo + ATX should give very good result, however, you have to focus manually. One more point to note, some digiscoper told me that TLS-apo could not produce full image on APS-C camera but with vignetting. You have to check it out if this is an issue to you.

after reading some information on the web, I still do not understand the difference between the TLS APO and DCB II.
It seems that TLS APO will couple with DSLR camera that make the ATX become a telephoto lens. The DCB II couples with a DC "afoucally" so that the whole ATX with the Objective and Eyepiece combination becomes an lens with much longer effective focal length. The DCB II is what I want (I already have a 800mm lens and require a system with longer effective focual length, say, 2000mm or more).
However, some information on the web says that the TLS APO could also combine with mirrorless camera. I am very interest in this.
Just do not know where in HK I could see demo to answer my questions!
Vignetting is a common problem for afocual systems and it could solve easily by using the right combination of eyepieces and camera lenses.
