Do you have any more photos?

e.g. with other waders in the same photo for comparison, or in flight?

I'm no expert on waders but without any evidence to the contrary, I guess it's a Wood Sandpiper.

What do you think?

In October, likely to be a young Common Redshank.

It's a Common Redshank to me: the supercillium is absent (more obviously present in Wood Sandpiper) and the bill is a bit too long for Wood Sandpiper.

wgeoff 24/04/2014 20:05

That's why I'm not an expert on waders!

John Holmes 24/04/2014 21:31

Not enough waders on Po Toi, Geoff !

It seem to be a Common Redshank^^
