Swallow roosting in Baoshan
I estimated about 10000 Barn Swallow come to roost in the town of Baoshan lately. Although some roost on wires, most of them roost inside Maple Tree.
Their action attracts a pair of Peregrine Falcon (subspecies [i]peregrinator[/i]). Like those in HK, I beleive they will move on to migrate south.
Interesting at the same site there were also thousands of Tree Sparrow, hundreds of White Wagtail, and probably some Oriental White-eye as well.
