Since size is difficult to determined from photos, your photo can also fit Juvenile Whiskered Tern. If this is in Mail Po, then Whiskered Tern is even more likely. Also the shorter bill and tail also fit Whiskered better. I guess I said Common Tern too quickly. Please note the change.

The appearance & pattern look like a juvenile Common Tern more than juvenile Whiskered Tern
