very interesting looking bird. Do you eventually have picture showing other angles or even better in flight?

I took this picture in hide no.1 on pond #16/17.

maybe others are having pictures of the same bird.
This bird to me is a juvenil Marsh Harrier showing some interesting features, especially on the head pattern...

According to the Birds of East Asia which published by
Princeton University Press.

Why it's not a Juvenile Pied Harrier?

Notice the facial pattern: dark throat of Pied c.f. creamy throat of the Mai Po bird. Pale crescent under the eye c.f. dark surround of the Mai Po bird.

Whether the Mai Po bird is Western Marsh Harrier or a Western/Eastern Marsh Harrier hybrid is another matter, however...

it would be great if you could post any other pictures you're having of this bird.

I had the same bird at Lok Ma Chau this morning.  It is either a Western Marsh Harrier or a hybrid.

I try to post this bird with different angles.
But sorry for poor quality and all of them were out of focus!
