It looks a bit like Zappey's Flycatcher, which is separated with Blue-and-White Flycatcher by its blue upper breast.
A clear look of its upper breast would know what it is.

For me, it looks like a Blue and White Flycatcher of the subspecies [i]intermedia[/i] (the subspecies that breeds in mainland Asia rather than Japan). This has a blue wash on the breast which can suggest similarity to Zappey's ([i]cumatilis[/i]). I would expect Zappey's to be paler and more turquoise-blue with fine black streaking, and with less extensive blackish in the face.

Unfortunately was the only pose it gave me... & hasn't been back since ... will keep an eye out for it
