Kuala Selangor Nature Park - Malaysia May 2016
Just about 1 hours drive away from Kuala Lumpur is the Kuala Selangor Nature Park, it is a good birding site for wetland birds and resident raptors especially the Brahminy Kite, Crested Serpent Eagle and the White Bellied Sea Eagle. Attached some pics taken in May when i visited the Park; and the surrounding wetlands.

There were also Long tailed macaques about in the park, and a group of roaming wild boars. The wild boars were quick, hence i only managed to get a picture of their backs!

While there are many Malayan water monitors in the park - this specimen was almost 2 meters long (one of the biggest i have seen), with very bright coloration, and it was calmly roaming the shore of the river, confident in its size, and not perturbed at all by human presence....
