I think this is Mongolian Short-toed Lark. Where in Long Valley was it seen?

Thank David for the prompt response. Going from the Yin Kong public toilet end, I saw it at the soil field (now) further down next to the paddy field where we used to see buntings.

Whereabout of Mongolian Short-toed Lark
The Mongolian Short-toed Lark was found a little bit further down where the man with blue top was standing. ie next to the field where we also saw the Little Curlew today!

Little Curlew
The Little Curlew enjoyed mingling with bird watchers although well observing social distancing with us. Very very cute and friendly!!!!

Thanks. Unfortunately the lark wasn't present this morning (20 April), although the Little Curlew was still showing well.

You may consider trying your luck again by 5pm. I had been scanning through the same location for 2 hours before 5pm yesterday and found no surprise. We left by 5pm and saw this bird immediately after greeting John Holmes. I was very angry with myself not to have asked John Holmes to ID this bird for us immediately. Otherwise a photo showing the bird 's short toes might have taken.
