RFI - reasonably priced spotting scope

Hi,

I'm looking for a reasonably priced spotting scope and tripod.  

Can anyone recommend any brands/models or shops that might be helpful?

Alternately, I would be interested in purchasing somebody's used gear, so please send me a message me if you have old gear that needs a new home.
