A Night Heron on an anchorage rope
The time was around 5:30pm on a weekday evening in mid July this year. The place where the heron was perching was the rear of a fishing boat where direct light failed to fall on. Despite insufficent light, the ambient lateral light level was sufficient to create a good 3-D effect for the heron. I like the glare from the red eyeballs. This creature is like Roger Federer taking the first service from Nadl.
