My thought is that you could have done much better with exposure control though. Were you shooting RAW?

As a start, you may want to read the article, [b]Bird Photography - The Basics[/b], I wrote for [i]HKBWS Bulletin 199[/i] (Spring 2006) on Exposure Control; it's on page 9.

Again I'd urge you to start shooting RAW as it's your [i]Digital Negative[/i] so to speak. Every bit of info you recorded is in there! By shooting JEPG you're throwing away valuable info on the image unknowingly ...
