[ringed] Common Sandpiper 磯鷸
A ringed common sandpiper in Kam Tin, 21 March.
White Flag + Yellow Flag + black ring, all on right leg.

This bird was probably ringed at Kam Tin in January, when we trapped and ringed several waders (common, wood and green sandpipers and a black-winged stilt).
All birds also had leg flags attached (in the Hong Kong combination, white over yellow on the right leg).
It's worth looking out for these birds if you are in the area, and remember to report resightings of any leg-flagged waders.
