Looks like a juv. sparrow to me. :)

I have seen a bird which was like a female black-tailed hawfinch flown away (I didn't take its image) after feeding a juvenile nearby and a male black-tailed hawfinch standing on another tree next to the juvenile.

Since I didn't want to distrub them, I did not wait for the return of the female.

The first bird in your second post is clearly a juvenile Tree Sparrow - the chestnut crown and streaked back can be seen on this photo. Also the tail does not seem to be forked as on a grosbeak.
The bird in the first post is less clear, but I think this also looks like a tree sparrow - the bill does not look large enough for a grosbeak.
The other bird (photos 2-3 in the second post) is a male Grosbeak.
Juvenile grosbeaks look like the adults (overall plain grey-brown, dark wings, heavy pale bill) but are browner on the head than the adult.
