Tam Kong Chau Egretry
Having visited Tam Kong Chau Egretry today and found it devoid of egrets and nests. Some suggest the decline of population is caused by the intrusion of Azure-winged Magpie in recent years and aggressive behavior toward the breeding egrets has been witnessed.
If proven, it would be the most prominent evident of ecological impact incurred from invasive bird species.
