Is this Japanese Cormorant
The bird was found on 10.4.2009 while I was on the way from Stanley to Po Toi Island. It was standing on a rock at the southern tip of Stanley. Because the bird was very far away from the ferry, so the pic quality is not good.

I like to say yes, but it is inconclusive to me from these photos.

It looks promising, with a small yellow throat patch and extensive white underparts. Please remember to submit the record for assessment by the records committee.
