A critically endangered Spoon-billed Sandpiper was found in a drained fishpond during bird monitoring of the Fishpond Management Agreement Scheme this morning. This drained pond also attracted several shorebirds, e.g. Long-toed and Red-necked Stints, during the high-tide period. The drained fishpond could provide a good habitat for many different waterbirds.
