香港擁有超過一千公頃的漁塘，不單為港人提供新鮮的淡水魚，更為大量水鳥提供覓食棲息的地方。為了令公眾認識傳統漁塘及其生態價值，提高公眾對濕地保育的意識，本計劃有一連串的教育活動，其中一項就是｢漁塘生態教育園地」。
教育園地於2013年12月開始在南生圍設置，我們與｢有記漁塘」的霍先生合作，擺放展覽板、養魚工具及設備、圖片、單筒望遠鏡及小遊戲等等，讓市民認識淡水魚養殖業對濕地保育的貢獻，歡迎到場參觀。
There are over 1,000 hectares of fishpond in Hong Kong, which not only provides freshwater and brackish fish to local people but also serves as an important feeding habitat for a large quantity of migratory birds. In order to raise the public awareness on traditional fishpond and its ecological value and to enhance the awareness of the public on conserving wetland, a series of education activities will be held, and one of them is the "Fishpond Education kiosk".
The education kiosk is opened to the public in Nam Sang Wai from December, 2013 in collaboration with Mr. Fok, who is one of our fisherman partners. Our project will set up exhibition boards, fishing equipment, photos, telescopes and mini games etc. next to Mr. Fok's fishpond called "You Ji Fishpond", in order to introduce how freshwater and brackish fish aquaculture contributes to wetland conservation . You are welcome to visit us.
