All Common Greenshank. Leg colour is not of great importance in separating Common from Nordmann's. Most important feature is pattern of upperparts. Nordmann's is much paler. There are two birds at Mai Po right now. The most conspicuous bird is one coming into breeding plumage with prominent white scalloping on the upperparts. The shape of the bill (more tubular with a blunter tip than Common) and the length of the tibia (shorter than Common) are addiitonal supporting features.
