The bird in the photo is a male
F.n.Owstoni, showing patterns of
Narcissina but with a greenish back. This is however not a male Green-backed Flycatcher
Ficedula elisae which is now largely believe as a seperate species. I am not sure if
Owstoni is now seen as a seperate species or not, but it may soon seperate from
Narcissina.
Owstoni breeds on Ryukyu Islands in Japan and are believe to do short-range migration between the islands. Please do correct me if I am wrong!!
