I thought I heard this Radde's type warbler making a bunting like call. But as there were buntings around, I may have been mistaken.
Is it Yellow-streaked or Radde's?

Photos taken on Po Toi yesterday (Thursday 9th November).

To me quite considerable depth of bill and very sturdy looking legs suggest Radde's, but interested to hear what others think.

I admit, it is difficult to see how a bird could have thicker legs than the last photo! In the absence of any other comment, I shall assume Radde's.

One problem is, there don't seem to be any good photos of Yellow-streaked Warbler. Those on orientalbirdimages are not very clear.

I think that this is a pretty classic Radde's Warbler. Strong thick legs, quite heavy bill which is distinctly deep-based. Also Yellow-streaked Warbler is yellow-streaked on the breast. The streaks may sometimes be hard to see but I am sure that they would show up on a picture as good as this one. Yellow-streaked also tends to show a more obvious dark line above the supercilium, though I would use this as a pointer rather than something which is diagnostic.

Sorry, I don't know where there are good photos - over to you to find one!
