Why the bird tail is not "y" shape?

I presume you are asking why is the tail not forked? if so, there are two reasons for this, mostly beceause the tail is spread which reduces the appearance of a tail fork, but also because this bird is of the subspecies nigrimentalis which is small and has a very shallow tail fork.
