A black-winged stilt strolled along a brackish water pond in Long Valley in the morning of September 3rd.   It stopped in the middle of the pond lower its neck and study the image reflected on the water surface.  If it would maintain this posture for long, it would become the Narcissus in the Stilts and Avocets family.
