Birds in Dailing, Heilongjiang 黑龍江帶岭

Some birds to share.
For the story of Scaly-sided Merganser, we hope to share it some time later.
First come the Ural Owl. We seen 3 in a row on one rainy day.

We have friends from Jilin, Harbin, and Daqing together... all going for the scaly-sided Merganser. But we also enjoy other birds around us. The following were taken by Mr Yao Wenzhi (姚文志) from Jilin (吉林省集安市).

Very nice photos - however that labelled Amur Falcon is a Northern Hobby.

Thanks Geoff for your compliment and Mike for the correction. I was too obsessed to see one in Northeast China and got it wrong when the feet of the Hobby was stained by some blood from its prey initially!
