Bird survey, Zhejiang, May6 -13 - volunteers sought
Zhejiang University is seeking experienced birders as volunteers for a survey of Linan County from 6-13 May.
All expenses will be paid from arrival in Hangzhou (or Shanghai if a connecting train is needed)
Following the survey there will be 2-day visit to Thousand Islands Lake to the breeding site of White-eared Night Heron led by the biologist who discovered them.
I joined the firstpart of this survey last October and it was an enjoyable opportunity to see a rarely birded part of China.
Highlights included Swinhoe's and Ashy Minivets, Crested Kingfisher, Meadow Bunting, Collared Finchbill, Brown-breasted Bulbul and Bull-headed Shrike.
Anyone interested please contact Mike Kilburn through this website.
Cheers
