Jiangxi Trip 17th - 23rd Sept. 2007
Jemi and I -toghether with Ruy and Karen Baretto- spent four-and-a-half days at Wuyishan on the track to Huanggangshan, Jiangxi Province.
We were guided and driven by Mr LIN Jiang-sheng of Nanchang, who sends his regards to all his clients, past and future.
Although it was quite wet and misty we saw a good variety of species and the pheasants came out onto the track for us. In addition to Cabot's Tragopan , we saw Elliot's Pheasant and Silver Pheasant. White-necklaced Partridge was heard well once and seen briefly in flight. Bamboo Partridges were seen near the barrier one morning.
Oh, and there were quite a few Rosy Pipits in the grassland at the top!
