Hi Paul,
Thanks for sharing a nice selection of birds. As you say, the Long eared looks very relaxed!
I think you might find on closer scrutiny , that the pigeons are Hill Pigeons ( C. rupestris) with that white sub terminal band.
Most people would probably want to split Dusky from Naumann's, which is the species/subspecies shown in your series.

Geoff,
Luliang is in the west of Shanxi province; Dongzhai is in the south-east of Henan province.

I'm a bit confused by the title of this thread.

Which birds were seen where (apart form the LEO which is labelled)?

The sites are quite a long way apart.

Both of them were seen at '十渡',which is located at SW of Beijing & with a distance of about 80 km.
