This species is not known to migrate and has, I believe, not been recorded east of Yunnan i.e. there are no records for Guangxi or Guangdong. Therefore the chance of this being a genuine wild bird are very slim. Like the Blue-winged Leafbird, which has been at Tai Po Kau for a couple of years, and the Golden Babbler that I saw briefly there in June this year, this is - in my opinion - almost certainly a released/escaped bird.
