I was at the aviary beside the water-bird pond at about 5:30 this afternoon overlooking the pond from above. I purposedly moved to this vantage point to catch the light that fell head on on the face of the heron; the light was coming from the water front to which the heron was facing. The glare on her eye was what I was expecting for before triggering the shutter release. The background was bright. so I pivoted the camera to the left to average out the exposure using the foliage. It has been my third time trying to shoot the heron on this perch at dusk time after work. The attached is one of the shots I got for this dusk.
