Summer gei wai drain down 2016 夏季基圍乾塘
Over the coming months, WWF will drain down some of the gei wai inside the Mai Po Nature Reserve on rotation basis. This is done to benefit waterbirds in Deep Bay whom congregate at the gei wai as the water-level is gradually lowered. Proposed drain down dates are:
8-14 Apr: GW#8b
8-14 May: GW#21
16 May: Pond#20b
4-10 Jun: GW#23a
20-23 Jun: GW#16/17
3-9 Jul: GW#3/4
1-5 Aug: GW#6

本會將於未來數個月，輪流放乾米埔自然保護區內的數個基圍，目的是方便后海灣的水鳥在水位逐漸被調低的基圍聚集覓食。以下為夏季基圍乾塘的時間:
4月8-14日: 基圍#8b
5月8-14日: 基圍#21
5月16日: 淡水塘#20b
6月4-10日: 基圍#23a
6月20-23日: 基圍#16/17
7月3-9日: 基圍#3/4
8月1-5日: 基圍#6
