Leadmine Pass & Wun Yiu 鉛礦坳 及 碗窰

I waked with my mother today from Ng Tung Chai village to the ridge between NTC and Shing Mun, then to Leadmine Pass and down to Wun Yiu.

The most significant birds were :

Pale Thrush
White's Thrush
Grey-backed Thrush

all at the picnic area at Leadmine Pass

and a flock of 9 White-browed Laughingthrushes at the picnic area near the point where the Wilson Trail trail leaves the road and heads up some steep steps.

There has been a small flock of White-browed Laughingthrushes around my home on Shan Tong Rd, which lies above Wun Yiu, for a few years now. Perhaps a population has established itself on the slopes of the valley?
