Sunbird ID

Sunbird ID

This morning I saw a sunbird in Pokfulam Country Park, I was in a shaded area and the bird flew out of a bush and was hovering for around 30 seconds aprox 6 Ft from me. It had a metallic blue/purple head and tail, the rest of the top of the body appeared dark and the underparts appeared creamy/yellow. It didn't appear to have any red on the body and I couldn't see a fork-tail. (The bird was at eye-level facing towards me)  I can't see it in the "Photographic Guide to the Birds of HK so any help would be appreciated

If it does not have red color on its breast, it might be Black-Throated Sunbird.
Any comment and suggestion are appreciated, thank you=]

Thanks for the links it looks more like this

as you can see from the flower the red color has been boostered if this had been desaturated I am sure this would be the bird

Thanks a lot for the help.

It was listed on the past list as Cat. E. I just make a guess by the description.
Do you have any idea?
Thank you.

I'm not sure this description rules out Fork-tailed. The red is often difficult to see (especially in the shade) and the forked tail will be difficult to see on a bird facing towards you. Compare: http://orientalbirdimages.org/se ... _ID=&pagesize=1
