Po Shan Mountains a week ago
It is ONE of the coucals but which one?
It was too far away so the image quality is poor
Besides, I heard two of those coucals 'hoot'ing

Most likely Greater Coucal in that area. If you heard them the calls are quite different. You can listen to the different calls at www.xeno-canto.org.

Size, habitat, call description, location and probably also plumage (no suggestion of any remaining winter plumage, no sign of paler streaks on upperparts) all suggest Greater Coucal to me.
