It flew over the middle of the fields - right over our heads in fact - but unfortunately it then rose higher and I believe headed off to the south.

quite productive this morning with:

Amur Falcon x2 (confirmation appreciated, see below)
Eurasian Skylark x1 (no apparent feather damage but right leg appears abnormal when walking and foraging on ground)
Eurasian Woodcock x1
Japanese Quail x2
Yellow-breasted Bunting x6+
Black-browed Reed Warbler
Asian Brown Flycatcher





Also flocks of garganeys, pintails and maybe other ducks

3+ (likely at least 4) Japanese Quails

1x Cinnamon Bittern (spotted by James only)
2x Yellow-browed Buntings (and a few Yellow-breasted)
1x Eurasian Skylark
1x Kestrel
1x Amur Falcon
1x rubythroat (male)
Also at least two Oriental Reed Warblers and a young Greater Painted Snipe.
Ducks seen were Wigeons (females only) and Pintails.

The male House Sparrow, wild or not, was still there today.

Also the Grey Bushchat, Rosy Pipit, Mandarin Duck and Rustic Bunting were also still there.

No sign of the Red-backed Shrike this morning between 0645 and 0730, but the following provided nice compensation:
