We are fortunate here in Sai Kung that Dusky warbler is a garden bird. After many goes at getting decent photos in "the wild" I sometimes have the chance to photograph them on the lawn.
Today this poor bird was almost a dining room tick as it flew first into the french windows and then up into the awning over the patio. After ascertaining that it was merely shocked I took a couple of pictures. It looks like the claw may have been damaged but it did fly off after a couple of minutes. It was only yesterday I heard the first one back and I would have been very upset if this had been a fatality. My wife very sensibly held on to the dog who was very interested in the new visitor.
