This is a lugens morpho Black-throated Laughingthrush, I've seen them around Kowloon Hill catchment and Wonderland Villas area, may I know where you saw this one?

I saw it in the Chinese University of Hong Kong last Sunday. Is it a subspecies of Black-throated Laughingthrush?

I think it is considered a morph rather then a subspecies, like the dark morph in Long-tailed Shrike. However I've found not many reference on this morph of BTL, it's also very interesting to me as this morph looks very similar to the Hainan subspecies of BTL...but I am no expert in this.
