Glad to receive a message today that Bar-tailed Godwit W8 was seen on Ashmore Reef (-12.259040, 123.108686)of Australia on 6-Nov-20, about 4,000km from Deep Bay.

W8 was last seen in Deep Bay on 20-Oct-20. Thank you Wellington, kc3018 and esther03166 for reporting W8 while it was at Mai Po.

W8 is probably going to stay there for at least 2 winters before mature for migrating to the breeding ground in the Arctic. Hope it might come pass Mai Po again in 2022 spring.
