馬蹄、慈菇收成活動
長春社和香港觀鳥會在2005年得到環境及自然保育基金贊助,在塱原實施生態保育管理協議試驗計劃。計劃展開已有兩年,在計劃中我們種植了一些馬蹄、慈菇和稻米以回復水田耕種及吸引雀鳥。經過一年的種植,馬蹄和慈菇已進入收成階段。為響應「二月二日世界濕地日」,長春社和香港觀鳥會特別舉行馬蹄、慈菇收成活動,讓大家一起見證這個特別時刻,並親身體驗收成的喜悅,參加者可將收得的農作物帶回家。歡迎攜同家人及朋友參加,有關活動的安排如下:

集合時間:下午1:45
集合地點:上水彩園村商場彩城皇宮大酒樓門外空地
本會將安排旅遊巴來往上水彩園邨和塱原。
名額:40人
費用:全免
注意事項:
1. 參加者請穿著輕便服飾及運動鞋,切勿穿著涼鞋或高跟鞋。
2. 大會將提供膠手套及工具,參加者亦可自備手套。
3. 參加者請自備足夠食水及雨具。
4. 如活動當日上午11時仍然懸掛三號或以上風球,或任何暴雨警告,活動將延期至另行通知。

Chinese Arrow-head and Water Chestnut Harvesting Activity
In 2005, The Conservancy Association (CA) and Hong Kong Bird Watching Society (HKBWS) received funding from the Environment and Conservation Fund and started conservation management agreement pilot projects in Long Valley. The projects have been carried out for 2 years. We have planted some freshwater crops like Water Chestnut, Chinese Arrow-head and Paddy Rice to restore wet agriculture and attract birds. After cultivated for a year, the harvest season of Water Chestnut and Chinese Arrow-head has come. In response to the World Wetland Day, CA and HKBWS is going to hold a Chinese Arrow-head and Water Chestnut Harvesting Activity so that members and non-members can witness this special moment and experience the happiness of harvest. Participants can bring the harvested crops home. Family and friends are welcome.

Date: 2 February 2008 (Saturday, World Wetland Day)
Time: 2:00 – 5:00pm
Gathering time: 1:45 pm
Gathering place: Outside Choi Shing Palace Restaurant, Choi Yuen Estate
Commercial Complex, Sheung Shui
Coach will be arranged.
Quota: 40 person
Free of charge
Important notes:
1. Casual wear is recommended. Please do not wear high heel shoes or sandals.
2. Plastic gloves and equipments will be provided. Participants can bring their own gloves.
3. Please bring enough water, hat, sun block, insect repellent and umbrella.
4. The activity will be postponed when typhoon signal no. 3 or above, or any rainstorm warning signal is hoisting that day at 11:00am.
