thank you for the prompt reply. i would bring my membership card and see how many copies of guide i could handle physically then, probably 5 copies at a time. contents of the guide must be good and comprehensive.

you also got the insects guide of HK in stock? any promotion activities of Leica Digiscoping product? and overseas birding trip for members in the coming few months?

We don't have promotion on Leica digiscoping products but Minox, which is another product line of Leica. More details here:

香港鳥類圖鑑的新書發佈會已經於十月十七日在香港濕地公園順利完成，再次感謝各位參與本書製作的所有人士及機構。
Thank you once again to all people and parties who have participated in the publication of the new photoguide. The launch of the book has been completed on 17 Oct in Hong Kong Wetland Park.

香港鳥類圖鑑的總代理萬里書店通知我們貨倉已沒有存貨，現時只剩下約400多本在市面的書店出售，我們辦事處已經斷貨，請勿到本會購買。現時商務印書館、三聯書店、中華書局、天地圖書等書店應尚有存貨，但為保險計最好預先查詢。而萬里書店出版的書現時在各書店也有特價出售，請留意。我們會盡快與萬里商討再版事宜，但難以在三兩個月內成事。

Please note that the distributor of this book is already out of stock. There are still about 400 copies selling in the bookshops. Our office is also out of stock . Please check the bookshop first before you go to search. We are going to discuss the reprint of the book but probably unable to reprint within 2 or 3 months.

我一直覺得萬里對鳥類圖鑑的消量估計得太保守。
如今2個月唔夠就賣斷市，出版商少賺錢事少，一班義工的努力未能充份利用事大。
記得上年搞觀鳥班，d同學成日問攝影圖鑑邊度有得賣，我哋就答第一版斷了市，就快出新版，好快就有喇。點知新版出完２個月又冇貨，咁d初學觀鳥既朋友 唔知又要等幾時。

建議：
1.下次可以考慮一下其他出版商。
2.乘勝追擊，出 pocket size 圖鑑（只出圖片），及PDA版（或i-phone 版之類）。令資源更充份利用。
3.出新版時，大幅改善文字內容。精益求精。
