Scaly thrush 虎斑地鶫

Scaly thrush 虎斑地鶫

Scaly thrush is supposed to be skittish and certainly is in my experience. This one posed happily for a while in Clearwater Bay CP late this afternoon. There were dozens of thrushes, mainly Grey-backed but also Japanese around a fruiting tree. Some were in the leaf litter but most were in the canopy.

Nice pic Andrew - looks like its posing to be used in a heraldic crest.
